There is provision within the school for children with a wide range of special educational needs. Rothesay Primary can best be described as a semi-open plan school consisting of two main teaching areas; one for P1 to P3, and the other for P4 to P7. Both are attached to a central block which houses the school offices, the kitchen and dining areas, the gymnasium and a large library. An extension to the school is being built during session 1999-2000.
